Health Literacy Award
Health literacy, that is literacy in healthcare describes our ability to navigate health issues, to obtain information about our health, understand and apply them correctly in practice.
Continuous improvement of this is essential, as those with better health literacy:
- live a healthier life,
- better adhere to treatment requirements,
- less often suffer from chronic conditions,
- feel healthier,
- live longer,
therefore better health literacy can help improve the efficiency of healthcare.
The aim of the Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers with the Health Literacy Award launched in 2016 is to provide an opportunity for the best, most innovative health literacy improvement programs for recognition, wide-ranging presentation and development.

TájékozottBeteg (Informed Patient)
Maintaining our health requires a high degree of awareness, all of this applies even so if we are facing a disease, especially if a dreaded disease has attacked our body. Prevention, of course, is the best weapon, but if we are already ill, a prerequisite for recovery is our awareness based on authentic information: early recognition of the symptoms, regular screening and to know how we can contribute to the effectiveness of the therapy prescribed by our doctor. Among other things, the online interface developed by the Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, tajekozottbeteg.eu and the mobile app also help with these.
